Amazing Picture, Clumsy Controls June 29, 2009
I bought this about 6-7 months ago, and I absulutely LOVE this thing! We have a DVD player in our SUV, and you either have to listen to the radio or the DVD. This works a lot better. I am just a little disapointed at the product picture. I would like to inform you that the front and bottom of this device is bright white.
Pros: Great Picture, nice design, compact, sturdy, plays cds as well as dvds
Cons: Off/Switch which is not very genius when you have a remote, volume control is a black slide switch which is again not smart when you have a remote, green power button indicates on/off but is in the front so it seems very bright
Overall, I would recommend this to anybody who was looking at getting a portable DVD player. Also, get a case. [...]I was actually scepticle about getting a DVD player for the price it was. But it actually has a sleek design and works well. The picture quality is amazing. If you are looking at this review and want to spend a little for a great product, JUST BUY IT ALREADY!

I bought this product mainly because of the Philips name and the cost. Sure, some other models may be cheaper, but this was the best balance between cost and known brand (at least for me).
Pros:
The picture is very clear and crisp.
The sound is good, I don't consider that is bad at all (consider the cost, of course)
it is very ligth
it contains the wall and car adapter.
Cons:
It feels cheap, so be aware the as any electronic device you need to pay extra care (shocks, falls, etc). This is reason of the 4 stars.
To make it multiregion:
Press setup on the remote
Use the arrows to navigate to Prefreneces (pref)
type 9 6 5 3
Select Region code (press down arrow to set to 0, open for all codes)
Press setup again to exit

this portable dvd is the answers for my problems!!! I have a 17 months boy and he was always fuzzy when I had to put him in the car seat!!! But now he loves it!! I put the dvd on and he enjoys the ride with no problems!! The sound is great buy the way!!! Really lound!!! And 2 can watch it with no problems!!
